Weekend Road Work: Lane Closure Planned For I-575
The closure will go into effect nightly from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday from Barrett Parkway to S.R. 92 in Woodstock.
Atlanta, GA -- Crews with the Georgia Department of Transportation will once again hit the highways and interstates this weekend to knock out some road work.
For Cherokee County motorists, this could impact your nightly commute along Interstate 575.
The Express Lanes project will require one southbound lane closure on the interstate between Chastain Road and Barrett Parkway and between S.R. 92 and Bells Ferry Road nightly from 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11 to 5 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.

Motorists are asked to slow down and proceed through the area with caution, as heavy equipment could be in close proximity to the roadway.
