Wild Weekend Family Fest Hosted By Autrey Mill On April 20
This annual family festival encourages all to take a walk on the wild side, and features an assortment of special guests, games and crafts.

JOHNS CREEK, GA -- Autrey Mill Nature Preserve is gearing up for its annual Wild Weekend event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 20. This annual family festival encourages all to “take a walk on the wild side,” and features an assortment of special guests, games and nature crafts. Admission is $10 per guest; children under 2 are free.
Autrey Mill has many fun engaging activities planned. Guests will have the opportunity to
explore fur, feather, scales and antennas. Games, prize wheels, and many special guests entice
young explorers with opportunities to learn. Farmer Sue, the featured presenter, is bringing a
whole heap of her barnyard critters. The “What’s Bugging You?” station and live bug tent will
highlight beneficial bugs like butterflies, ladybugs and praying mantises. Founding Mother,
Judy Webb, moonlighting as a storyteller, will share nature-themed stories and songs. Fulton
County Water Resources is hosting a craft table and offer exciting ideas on water conservation.
The Spruill Library is providing an opportunity to sign up for library cards or make a bookish
craft. Johns Creek Historical Society will be joining the fun with a craft inspired by the past.
Additionally, Autrey Mill staff has prepared giant bubble stations, craft corners and guided tours of the historic buildings. While you are there, don’t forget to visit the Autrey Mill ambassadors the ducks, chickens, rabbits and rock star- Pebbles, the African Spurred Tortoise.
Food, drinks and chips will be available for purchase between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Stay a few hours or make a day of it. Bring your appetite for exploration and thirst for knowledge about the wild world around you.
