Woman, Two Dogs Die in Johns Creek House Fire

The fire started just before sunrise Monday morning.

A Johns Creek resident and her two dogs perished in a house fire that occurred just before daybreak Monday morning.

Calls began coming about the fire at 125 Summer Crest Court around 5:55 a.m. March 9, city spokesperson Doug Nurse said.

Crews arrived onto the scene to fight the blaze at the split-level home, and eventually discovered the body of a woman on the main level of the house. The two dogs were also found inside the home, Nurse added.

Nurse stated the identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, and no one else was believed to be at the house at the time of the fire.
