Woman Gives Birth in Walmart

A newborn’s cries echoed through the Roswell Walmart Supercenter on Mansell Road on Tuesday.

A woman gave birth to her baby inside the store just after 5 a.m., according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Ken Simpson, regional director for the Rural/Metro ambulance company, said the woman, whose name was not released, gave birth before the paramedics could arrive, WGCL reports.

“She delivered inside the store,” Simpson told the AJC.

Both the mother and baby were taken to Northside Hospital and appeared to be fine, AJC reports.
