Woodward North Student Earns Black Belt

Cameron Nguyen, a student at Woodward North in Johns Creek has been a student of Tae Kwon Do since 2009, and on Saturday, April 13, Cameron earned his First Degree Black Belt.

For this achievement, Cameron was required to pass more than 15 tests to earn 10 previous belts through demonstrations of physical skills and the breaking of countless boards, to participate in a leadership program, to give presentations on the tenets of this martial art and to write essays about how Tae Kwon Do has help make him a better person.

In a few weeks, he will attend a ceremony where he will be presented with his own black belt embroidered with his name.
