Young Baseball Stars Invited to Show Their Stuff at Ocee

Think you're a pretty good hurler? Pretty good with a bat, are ya? How about running bases? Johns Creek baseball stars are invited to show their stuff at the Aquafina Major League Baseball "Pitch, Hit, and Run" skills competition at Ocee Park on April 20.

The contest is open to all boys and girls from the age of 7 to 14, and is the first step towards competing in the Team Championship (Major League Ballpark) and National Finals (2013 MLB All-Star Game in New York).

Boys and girls compete together in four age groups (7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14) in three important aspects of baseball: pitching, hitting and running.

The All-Around Champion, Pitching Champion, Hitting Champion and Running Champion in each age group from each local competition advances to the Sectional Level.

There is no fee. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m., and the competition runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants must bring a copy of the player's birth certificate, and a completed registration/waiver form must be filled out at check-in.
