Auto Shop Owner Loves Community

On any given day, you can stop into All Pro Automotive on North Cobb Parkway and see owner Clint Turner surrounded by car parts and automobile keys.

The Kennesaw resident has had his auto repair shop at the same location in Kennesaw for 21 years and said he loves his job. "I just like to fix cars," said Turner. "I'm a business owner but I'm a mechanic, too--that's why I still wear my uniform every day."

Turner and his wife, Cindy, have two children--daughter, Sofi, who attends and helps her father at the shop, and son, Tucker, who is a junior at North Cobb Christian School in Kennesaw.

Word of mouth is the best recommendation for any business, and All Pro gets a lot of that. In fact, Turner says that's his best form of advertising.

But what doesn't get a lot of advertising is Turner's contributions to the community. And he'd like to keep it that way. He has been involved for years with the car care ministry at Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, doing upkeep and repairs on vehicles for single moms and widows.

He does car repairs for women aided by , a non-profit organization in Marietta, and helps many others from churches in Cobb and Cherokee counties with car repairs when they can't afford to have them done.

"I feel like I've been blessed and am paying it forward," said Turner, whose shop does repairs on all models and commercial vehicles as well.

A plaque that sits on his counter at All Pro features a monkey wrench and says, "In grateful appreciation for allowing our ministry to 'monkey around' All Pro auto and to assist those in need."

The inscription ends with a Bible verse from Romans 12:13, which sums up Turner's community service: "Share with the Lord’s people who are in need."
