
This 4-hour introductory course combines classroom instruction with live range time to build a strong foundation in carbine safety and operation.
Students will learn the core fundamentals of carbine shooting, including safe handling, proper stance, grip, sighting, trigger control, and basic recoil management. The classroom portion focuses on understanding how modern carbines function, allowing students to safely operate, maintain, and make informed decisions about their equipment.
The course also covers:
- Carbine safety principles and range procedures
- Basic mechanical operation common to semi-automatic carbines
- Ammunition types and general selection considerations
- Fundamental loading, unloading, and chamber verification
- Common carbine malfunctions and safe, practical methods to clear them
- Introductory discussion of carbine accessories and setup considerations
This class is designed for new or inexperienced shooters who want a clear, structured introduction to carbine fundamentals in a safe and supportive environment.
