Certified Financial Planner™ Program Information Session Nov. 28

The free information session will be held at KSU Center from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University will host a free information session on the newly launched Certified Financial Planner™ Program on Tuesday, November 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at KSU Center. Attendees will have an opportunity to meet the team of expert instructors, discuss course details, opportunities for career growth and the industry-recognized CFP® certification.

“Financial planners looking to achieve theirCFP® certification, career changers and professionals in a related
field will benefit from the Certified Financial Planner™ certification course,” said Jennifer Henderson, program manager. “Our instructors bring a wealth of knowledge to this program.”

The Certified Financial Planner™ Program provides existing and future financial professionals with the skills and training needed to deliver comprehensive and accurate personal financial planning services to clients. Topics covered in the program include the fundamentals of financial planning, insurance planning, income tax planning, investment planning, estate planning, and retirement savings and income planning. The program concludes with a capstone project, where students develop a financial plan. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to apply for the CFP® Certification Examination.

KSU is an established institution with the CFP Board and is registered with the CFP Board of Standards, Inc. that administers the exam. The program, approved for VA Education Benefits, is slated to begin on January 22, 2018.
