Dr. John H. Carter will discuss his involvement with the Washington D. C. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Project. He supervised the passage of two laws authorizing the memorial, coordinated the site and design selection and raised over $15 million before turning the project over to a permanent staff. Dr. Carter is a retired VP from AT&T. Currently he manages his own consulting firm and is an adjunct professor at Strayer University.
