Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jody Williams will speak at on Thursday, Feb. 2, as part of the university's Pathways to Peace Lecture Series.
Williams is the founding coordinator of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). She received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1997 in recognition of her efforts to bring about the 1997 Mine Ban Treaty.
Williams will speak at two forums on Thursday, Feb. 2, at Kennesaw State, located at 1000 Chastain Rd. in Kennesaw. The first forum will take place at 2 p.m. at Prillaman Hall, Room 1000. The second will take place at 7 p.m. at the Dr. Bobbie Bailey & Family Performance Center.
