Fall Season Begins For KSU's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute

Continuing education for seniors age 50 and over

From art to computers to history and languages, KSU’s OLLI program offers an array of classes for a wide variety of intellectual tastes. The OLLI Sampler, beginning on Oct. 3, will allow participants to experience all OLLI has to offer. This unique combination of five course samplings will include a mixture of computer, fitness, games, history, music and arts. Each Monday in October will bring a new set of instructors and a new adventure. The OLLI Sampler also includes admission to the fall social on Oct. 24.

The OLLI fall “Sock-Hop” social is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m at the KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive). Guests will have the opportunity to socialize, meet new friends and pose for a picture or two before dining and dancing to the tunes of The Sock Hops. The Marietta band, known as Atlanta's premier oldies entertainment group, specializes in four-part harmonies of popular favorites from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s.

Registration for the OLLI Sampler is $39. The OLLI Sampler Class Schedule will consist of the following classes: Oct. 3 Bridge and Historic Voices of Opera; Oct. 10 Drawing Fundamentals and Gentle Yoga; Oct. 17 The Art of Alfred Hitchcock and Computers; Oct. 24 Spanish is Fun and Retirement Planning; and Oct. 31 Great Decisions and eBay Class.
