The warning lasts until 7:15 a.m. and affects Kennesaw, according to the National Weather Service.

Cobb County residents who live in low lying areas should seek higher ground as flash flooding is expected in the area, the National Weather Service announced Sunday morning.

According to the NWS alert, two inches of rain have fallen since approximately 7:00 p.m., and creeks are already beginning to swell because of the increased water. The NWS said that Allatoona Creek in Acworth will begin flooding by 2:30 a.m.

Anyone in the areas affected by the warning should move to higher ground immediately, the NWS warned. The warning will expire at 7:15 a.m. Sunday.
