The College of Continuing and Professional Education will host a free Career Training Expo at KSU Center (3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, Ga. 30144) on July 30 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The event is designed to assist anyone who desires to re-enter the workforce, change careers or advance in their current position. Guests can attend several information sessions covering multiple industries.

“We’re so proud to host events like this to provide individuals the opportunity to seek and find their true passion,” said Barbara Calhoun, dean of the college. “By attending this event, you have taken one giant step toward personal growth.”
The Expo will feature 50+ professional certificate programs including Professional Development of Gerontology, Culinary, Web Design, Paralegal, Project Management, Medical Assisting, Group Fitness Instructor and Payroll Professional. New programs include Cisco, Residential Landscape Design and Lean Six Sigma.

Additionally, attendees will be able to meet instructors and recent program graduates at the information sessions. Career Coach John Long will be leading sessions on interviewing and personal branding. Financial aid advisers, including Wells Fargo and Cobb Works, will be available to discuss options such as VA Education Benefits, Workforce Investment Act Funding and 0%-interest payment plans.
As a special bonus, all attendees will receive a 10% discount coupon valid through August 6, 2015. In addition, those who register on-site the night of the Expo will receive a complimentary KSU stadium chair, just in time for football season.
