Harrison Finishes 4th in 2011 Directors Cup
Each year the Regions Bank Directors Cup is given to the top performing high school athletic department in each classification.
The Regions Bank Directors Cup is presented by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association to recognize the top athletic departments in the Georgia High School Association. Points are accumulated throughout each school year to determine the best programs in the state by classification, gender and region.
Points are tallied from each school’s top eight scoring sports among the 25 sanctioned GHSA sports in which each school participates. Each school that wins will receive a Regions Directors Cup trophy and wall banner.

Along with the fourth-place finish in the AAAAA classification, took 17th place with 657 points and finished 27th with 521 points.

Harrison boys’ teams finished 12th overall and accumulated 414.50 points in golf (85), tennis (70), cross country (54), soccer (53), track (49.50), lacrosse (45), swimming (33) and basketball (25).
The Lady Hoyas were the top-ranked girls program in the state this year, scoring 596 points. They took 100 points from their state championship win in soccer, 90 points from softball, 83 from volleyball, 80 from golf, 75 from cross country, 70 from tennis, 63 from swimming and 35 from lacrosse.
Kennesaw Mountain boys’ teams finished in 32nd place and tallied 218 points in wrestling (69), swimming (42), cross country (32), tennis (25), soccer (25) and baseball (25).
The Lady Mustangs finished in 10th place with 439 points. They took 70 points from soccer, 63 from track, 54 from swimming, 53 from tennis, 53 from volleyball, 53 from softball, 48 from cross country and 45 from golf.
The boys from North Cobb scored 242 points and scored points in five events; track (63), tennis (53), soccer (53), cross country (48) and baseball (25).
The Lady Warriors scored 279 points in seven events; basketball (70), volleyball (53), cross country (42), track (36), cheerleading (27), swimming (26) and soccer (25).
North Cobb Christian scored 285 points overall in the A classification and tallied points in basketball (70), cross country (45) and baseball (25) for the boys, and cross country (54), track (41), softball (25) and volleyball (25) on the girls side.
