A Kennesaw State University business lecturer has been formally charged with battery after allegedly shouting racial slurs at an Uber driver and then punching him in March.
WSB-TV reports that Joshua Salisbury has been implicated in a March 5 incident in Dunwoody where allegedly called his black Uber driver the n-word and said ”go back to slavery.” Salisbury is then accused of punching the driver. WSB-TV reports that a 911 call made by the driver captures Salisbury’s outburst.

DeKalb County jail records indicate Salisbury was arrested on April 29 and released on a $3,000 bond on April 30. Salisbury has a history of arrests in DeKalb County for disorderly conduct, DUI, hit and run, and simple assault, records show.
