KSU’s Continuing Education increases educational opportunities for military veterans
The college offers more than 30 VA-approved programs for service members and their spouses

The College of Continuing and Professional Education at KSU is pleased to announce three new programs approved for VA Education Benefits. Veterans and service members of the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines and National Guard may qualify for benefits to advance their education and skills. KSU’s Continuing Education military education funding includes VA Education Benefits for active-duty and prior military and MyCAA for spouses.
Real Estate Salesperson Prelicense
This 10-week course fulfills the 75-hour Georgia Real Estate Commission education requirement and helps students prepare for the Georgia Real Estate Licensee examination. This certificate program covers the basics of ownership, transfers and use of property, real estate law, mortgage fraud, finance, contracts and other required topics. Licensed real estate agents work in real estate offices, property management companies, lending institutions, appraisal companies, insurance companies, real estate development companies and home bases businesses.
App Programming & Development
This course will teach you how to imagine, design, build and optimize cross-platform mobile apps using the very latest in HTML5 standards. You will use familiar web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3 to create hybrid mobile apps. By giving you a solid foundation, you can imagine, design, create and deploy your own apps onto the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.
PayTrain Mastery
This course is part two of the Payroll Professional Certificate program. PayTrain® Mastery is a comprehensive course that provides you with a solid understanding of advanced payroll topics necessary for payroll managers and supervisors. This course is offered in partnership with the American Payroll Association and is taught by experienced instructors. The course is designed for individuals seeking credentials that will focus on mastering the core functions of payroll. Upon completing this program, student are eligible to pursue their Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential.

KSU’s Continuing Education offers more than 30 VA-approved programs. 47 Service Members used their VA Education Benefits at KSU’s Continuing Education during fiscal year 2016. Some of the programs taken in 2016 include: Human Resources Management, Culinary Apprenticeship, Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, Pharmacy Technician, Web Design and Development, Professional Investigator, Medical Interpreter, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Meeting and Event Management and Paralegal.
