KSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute to host fall social on Oct. 30

The "Oktoberfest" themed social will be held on Monday, October 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at KSU Center

Changing leaves and cooler temperatures can only mean the fall season has begun. To celebrate, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education will host an “Oktoberfest” themed social on Monday, October 30 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the KSU Center. Inside, guests can enjoy a festive atmosphere with traditional German music by German band Die Kurtzbaum and authentic German food. Veteran DJ Greg Picciano will have guests dancing the remainder of the night.

“We look forward to every OLLI social,” said Pat Walker, program manager. “Our guests enjoy the events and the socials are great way to bring our community together.”

OLLI at KSU offers an impressive selection of educational and social opportunities for adults age 50 and older. The program encourages students, from diverse backgrounds and professions, to stay intellectually active and engaged through varied courses, excursions and social events. Students can take classes year round in the areas of technology, art and music, finance, leisure, health and fitness.
