Mostly Mutts received grant and introduces weekly yoga class with dogs
Cobb EMC Community Foundation gives Mostly Mutts " Operation Round Up Grant" thanks to all the customers who round up their monthly bills!
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue received a Cobb EMC Community Foundation “Operation Round Up” Grant to be used for vetting expenses for rescued animals. Many generous Cobb EMC members round their bills up each month, through Operation Round Up, to donate to charitable organizations in our community. The notification that was received with the grant stated “The Cobb EMC Community Foundation board of directors has selected your nonprofit, since your mission aligns so closely with Cobb EMC’s concern for the communities we serve.”
“We could not be more honored and excited to receive this grant from the Cobb EMC Community Foundation.” said Tammy Turley, Executive Director. “We are very grateful to all the Cobb EMC members who participate in Operation Round Up, and these funds will enable us to save many more homeless pets in 2017.”
Mostly Mutts recently introduced a yoga class at its pet rescue and adoption facility. The program takes place on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm and participants get to meet adoptable animals during the class. The class is free but participants are asked to make a donation to Mostly Mutts. It is an innovative way to introduce homeless pets to potential adopters and it has been extremely well received so far. Class size is limited to 20 participants and due to popular demand, additional classes may be scheduled in the future. For information about this and other programs, please visit www.mostlymutts.org.

Mostly Mutts strives to reduce the number of animals euthanized at local shelters in Metro Atlanta by working with animal control officers to save adoptable dogs that are moments away from being put to sleep. Often, these dogs are sick, injured and require rehabilitation. Mostly Mutts provides housing, health care, training, and physical and emotional care to these rescued animals until they can be placed in a new “furever home.” Since 2004, Mostly Mutts has saved approximately 6,500 animals.
