It was a cold, windy night in Hiawassee in the north Georgia mountains as the Eagles played the Raiders from Towns County High School on Friday. While there were some bright spots for NCCS, the team brought home a 33-6 loss.
One plus was that senior running back Corey Harris was back in the NCCS lineup after suffering a concussion and sitting out for three weeks. He scored the only touchdown with a 35-yard pass from quarterback Alex Ho-on. The extra point was no good.
Another plus was less penalties on NCCS, which have wiped out several TDs in past weeks. "We did better on penalties," said NCCS head coach Harry Miles. "We didn't have nearly as many this week."

Freshman Reggie Pruitt is another bright spot for NCCS. The wide receiver wowed the fans last week with over 200 yards on offense and several touchdowns. Friday night he had two catches for 30 yards. The Eagles hope he and Harris will be the running/catching tandem they need to score points.
"We've got to keep working hard," said Miles. "We go back and work hard starting Monday."
