State Senator Visits Veteran's Recruiting Committee at KSU
The committee attempts to attract armed forces veterans seeking postsecondary education to attend the university.

On Friday, August 7, 2015, Sen. Bruce Thompson (R – White) attended the Fall meeting of the Veteran’s Recruitment Advisory Committee at Kennesaw State University.
“Our service men and women do so much for our country,” said Senator Thompson. “As part of Georgia’s strong higher education system, Kennesaw State’s Veteran’s Recruitment Advisory Committee performs and outstanding service for their university as well as the entire state.”

Along with other elected officials and active military recruiters, the meeting focused on how KSU can best attract and serve military veterans that are seeking higher education opportunities. The committee includes KSU staff from various departments, committee a Kennesaw City Councilman, current Army and National Guard recruiters, National Guard education officers, members from the U.S. Army Recruiting Battalion, CEO of VetJobs, and other members with service related occupations. The committee is committed to the recruitment and retention of student-veterans
