Three Career Development Courses Now Offered at KSU

The courses are designed to make finding your next job a piece of cake.

KSU’s College of Continuing and Professional Education will be introducing career development courses to help individuals excel in their job search. Upon completion of these classes, students will gain a greater focus and an action plan to successfully compete in the current job market.

Discover the Hidden Job Market begins April 30. Students will discover the hidden job market is just another name for a proactive job search. The class will offer new tools and techniques to enhance their job search.

Subsequently, Launching and Refining Your Linkedin Profile will start May 7. The goal of this class is to focus on the ability to leverage Linkedln to help locate jobs, contacts or leads. Students will learn both why and how to be a professional online networker and how to make Linkedln work during their job search.

To conclude, the Professional Branding and Resume Writing class is set to begin May 9. This class will prepare students with innovative ways to differentiate themselves from other professionals. Once their brand is created, students will be prepared to promote it to employers with desirable jobs.

All classes are taught by John Long, nationally certified career coach and college instructor. Cost for each class is $99, but students who have enrolled in a continuing education class in the past year will receive a discounted rate: $49.
