Viewfinder: Kennesaw State Beats Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech led in every inning Tuesday against except the fourth inning and the final at-bat. The Owls drew three walks and got two base hits in the bottom of the ninth inning to overcome a two-run deficit and beat eighth-ranked Georgia Tech, 7-6.

Sophomore Ray Anderson entered the game in the eighth inning as a pinch hitter and promptly struck out. He redeemed himself in the ninth inning when he took a 1-1 curve ball and blooped it over the Georgia Tech second baseman to bring in the winning run.

"I knew my at-bat was going to be big," Anderson said. "I had to make something happen."

Anderson was one of six Kennesaw State players to get a hit Tuesday. The team also drew 11 walks and added base runners with two hit batsmen and two Georgia Tech errors.
