Weather Alert: Repeat of Severe Weather Possible
Heavy rain, high winds, hail and lightning are once again in the forecast.

Severe storms are once again possible in north Georgia Monday afternoon and evening.

In a Hazardous Weather Outlook statement, the weather service said isolated severe storms are possible from noon until 10 p.m. for virtually the entire state.
Just as was the case Sunday, when storms flooded streets, knocked out power and caused house fires in many places in metro Atlanta, an upper-level low pressure will increase stability and the chance for storms.

The chance for rain in Kennesaw is 60 percent today and tonight.
The weather service says to expect a chance for storms throughout the week.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA...
TODAY AND TONIGHT...
ISOLATED SEVERE STORMS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN ARE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. INSTABILITY WILL ONCE AGAIN INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA AS AN UPPER LEVEL AREA OF LOW PRESSURE MOVES INTO THE TENNESSEE VALLEY. ISOLATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE ACROSS NORTH AND CENTRAL GEORGIA...
MAINLY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF NOON AND 10 PM. THE MAIN THREATS FROM THE SEVERE STORMS WILL BE DAMAGING WINDS...HAIL...AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING.
LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN OF 2 TO 3 INCHES WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE. THESE RAINFALL AMOUNTS COULD PRODUCE MINOR FLOODING OF OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...AND LOW SPOTS ON ROADS.
