Weekend Pigskin Roundup: Hoyas Take Rivalry Game

Harrison 28, Kennesaw Mountain 21 – Friday’s “Battle of the Bell” was a see-saw game featuring three ties and two lead changes, according to the Marietta Daily Journal. With 5:29 to play, Clay Chastain hit Kyle Holmes with a 79-yard touchdown pass to put over the top. Harrison moved to 2-3 in Region 4-AAAAA play and sits a game out of fourth place. is in last place at 0-5 in the region.

McEachern 56, North Cobb 17 – quarterback Tyler Queen threw for 269 yards Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, but the Warriors could never get their offense established after McEachern’s Tray Fletcher romped 99 yards on a kickoff return to sway the tide of the game towards the Indians. North Cobb is in striking distance of the fourth-place spot in Region 4-AAAAA play at 2-3, while McEachern sits at 4-1 in the region and is in second place.

Hebron Christian Academy 47, North Cobb Christian 6 – Hebron Christian Academy scored on its first possession Friday, according to the Marietta Daily Journal, and was never able to recover.
