100 Pounds Of Meth Grabbed In Gwinnett Arrest

A Lawrenceville man was stopped with 107 pounds of meth in his vehicle last week, according to Gwinnett County Police.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Lawrenceville man was arrested last week with more than 100 pounds of methamphetamine in his vehicle, according to Gwinnett County Police.

The Gwinnett Daily Post reports that Cirilo Montufar-Goicochea, 44, was arrested on Tuesday. Police say that 107 pounds of meth was found in his vehicle.

According to an arrest warrant, Montufar-Goicochea had picked up the vehicle Monday afternoon at an address on Winters-Chapel Road near Norcross.

He is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and is being held without bond at Gwinnett County jail. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
