2 Accused Of Stealing $5K In Medication From Gwinnett Stores Arrested
One person is awaiting extradition, and the other person is being held without bond.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Two people accused of stealing more than $5,000 worth of medication from two Publix stores have been arrested, Gwinnett County Police said.
Police say Tabitha Katurhia Weaver, 37, was arrested by the Sandy Springs Police Department on unknown charges while Jose Antonio Cruz was arrested by Gwinnett police with the help of the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office.
Cruz and Weaver are accused of going to Publix stores on Sugarloaf Parkway and Duluth Highway on March 26, taking significant amounts of allergy medication without paying and concealing it in two gray bins.

Cruz is being held in the Gwinnett County Detention Center without bond, and Weaver was pending extradition from Fulton County to Gwinnett County.
