Alleged Child Molester Who Fled To Texas, But Returned Arrested: Gwinnett County Sheriff

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office arrested a man wanted for multiple child molestation charges.

The sheriff's office said Monday that a child reported in November 2021 of being repeatedly molested by Alberto Luna Alvarez, according to a news release. Alvarez faces two counts of child molestation and two counts of aggravated child molestation by sodomy.

Officials said Alvarez fled to Texas. The sheriff's office fugitive unit arrested him when he returned to Georgia. He's being held without bond in Gwinnett County Jail.
