As quartermaster of the CGVA, authorities said Schultz was tasked with finance management, bill pay and making purchases on behalf of the association, authorities said.

Schultz was accused of writing four checks to himself, which authorities said he masked as loans, and taking money from the association's funds for personal use.

He has been arrested on charges of four counts of theft by taking and one count of theft by taking, authorities said.
