Arrests Made in Bloody Home Invasion, Shootout
Police say home invaders fired shots at a Lawrenceville woman and her teen daughter before getting into a shootout with a neighbor.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- Four suspects have been arrested in a violent home invasion and gunfight in Lawrenceville on Monday.
Jameel Terry Hazel, 25, of Winder, Ronnie Joshua Amos, 20, of Norcross, Israel Bland, 23, of Lawrenceville, and Taneah Jamyce Hazel, 22, of Winder, are all in police custody, facing a host of charges.
At about 2:45 p.m. Monday, police say three men robbed a victim at gunpoint at 1649 Cannonball Ct. in unincorporated Lawrenceville.

After making the 26-year-old man empty his pockets and stealing his cell phone, the men then walked to 1658 Cannonball Ct. and banged on the door.
The home's occupant, a 39-year-old woman, said one of the men put a gun to her head as she opened the door. He ordered her to lay on a sofa and keep her head down, as the two other men entered.

At one point, the woman's 15-year-old daughter came into the room to see what was happening. When the woman looked up at her daughter, police say, one of the robbers fired a shot near her head, telling her to put her head back down.
The same man told the teen to look around the house for money. As she was looking for money, police say, one of the robbers touched her shoulder and made sexual remarks about her.
Before leaving the home, one of the thieves fired a shot in the direction of the teen girl, nearly hitting her in the face.
They ran out of the house. And that's when a neighbor -- a 48-year-old man -- came outside with a gun of his own, having heard the gunshots.
One of the home invaders turned and pointed his gun at the neighbor and the two began shooting at each other. The neighbor was shot twice during the gunfight and the robber, whom police identified as Israel Bland, was shot at least once.
The men fled in a gold car driven by a woman. Several residents called 911 and one witness came forward with the car's license plate number.
A short time later, police say, a gold car pulled in to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, fleeing after dropping off Bland.
Bland's injuries, and those of the neighbor, were non-life threatening, police say.
On Tuesday, detectives assigned to Gwinnett County's gang unit obtained information leading them to believe the gold passenger car was in Winder. As they were obtaining a search warrant for a home there, police say the suspects were seen getting into another vehicle and driving off.
Winder Police were notified and they made a traffic stop on the vehicle.
Police say that Jameel Hazel tried to run away during the stop. Once he was placed in handcuffs, officers found marijuana and a loaded handgun on him, according to police.
Those three suspects are being held in the Barrow County Jail, facing charges. Once released there, they will face a slew of new charges in Gwinnett County, ranging from armed robbery and aggravated assault to terroristic threats and sexual battery, police say.
Bland remains in the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. When he is released, he will be transported to Gwinnett County Jail to face charges.
