Busy Pleasant Hill Road Intersection to Get An Upgrade
Additional turn lanes are going in at Pleasant Hill and Club Drive.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- The busy intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Club Drive is about to get a major overhaul.
The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday awarded a $1.5 million contract to upgrade the intersection, which is in a heavily traveled commercial area.
"These improvements are expected to make traffic in this area flow much more smoothly," commissioner Jace Brooks said.

Georgia Development Partners Inc. was the lowest of five bidders and won the contract.
Contractors will install triple left-turn lanes on Pleasant Hill Road northbound to replace the existing dual left-turn lanes.

Also, dual right eastbound lanes will be installed at Club Drive to replace the existing single right-turn lane.
The project is being funded by money from Gwinnett County's 2014 special-purpose local option sales tax.
