Camp Gwinnett Will Be Back At Tribble Mill Park Sunday

Camp Gwinnett is an annual event that is held to teach Girl Scouts a variety of outdoor skills.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA – Camp Gwinnett is an annual event that is held to teach Girl Scouts a variety of outdoor skills. Many have not attended camp, or even spent much time outdoors, so for the afternoon, Girl Scout troops lead booths in a variety of activities like how to set up tents, roll sleeping bags, light a campfire, cook meals over fire with no electricity, identify plants, wilderness first aide, archery, caving and animal tracking. Many community partners with outdoor ties add to the fun. One of the main goals of this event is to get troop leaders, girls and their parents to feel more confident about camping and experiencing life in the outdoors.

On April 22 from 12 - 2 p.m., Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA will be invaded by over 600 Girl Scouts from all over Georgia.
