Cause of DUI School Fire Still Undetermined
Fire officials say they do not suspect foul play in the blaze at DUI Place in Lawrenceville.

Authorities on Monday were still trying to determine the cause of a fire at a Lawrenceville DUI school from over the weekend.
But arson is not suspected in the fire reported shortly before midnight Saturday at DUI Place, on the 225 block of Scenic Highway.
“The exact cause of the fire at the DUI Place is still undetermined, but does not appear to be suspicious at this point in the investigation,” Capt. Tommy Rutledge, of Gwinnett Fire & Emergency Services, said Monday.

Rutledge said the fire appears to have started in a corner office of the business, which is located on the building’s second floor. The blaze burned a hole in the office floor, but was otherwise contained to that room, he said.No one was in the building at the time of the fire.
Fire officials say there was “a significant amount of damage” to the office where the fire started.

Fire crews arrived on the scene at 11:47 p.m. Saturday and had the blaze under control by 12:59 a.m. Sunday.
