Credit Cards Stolen From Two Gyms, Thousands In Bills Racked Up

Gwinnett Police have released photos of a man suspected of stealing credit cards from two Lawrenceville gyms and racking up charges.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Gwinnett CountyvPolice have released photos of a man suspected of stealing credit cards from two Lawrenceville gyms and racking up thousands of dollars in charges.The thief broke into lockers at LA Fitness, 1860 Duluth Highway, and Gold’s Gym, 860 Duluth Highway, in unincorporated Lawrenceville, on June 18.

Authorities say the thief checked into both gyms using a false name of “Shawn Pitt” and gave what turned out to be a false phone number. There were no signs of forced entry into the lockers, which were secured with a combination lock that the suspect was able to open.

The thief used the stolen credit cards to buy thousands of dollars worth of gift cards that were used in North Carolina. Investigators believe the suspect may live in North Carolina or have ties to that state.

The suspect is described as a black man wearing a black Nike hoodie and black shorts.
