Damaging Fire in Lawrenceville Sends Man to Hospital

A Lawrenceville man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries from an early morning house fire on Dogwood Lane.

Fire investigators are trying to determine the exact cause of the fire that occurred a little after midnight Friday morning, Feb. 7. When firefighters arrived on the scene in the 100 block of Dogwood Lane, they were met by the man, who suffered burns and smoke inhalation. He was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center. There is no word on his condition.

The fire caused heavy damage to the single-story brick home and a total loss of its contents.  The Red Cross was contacted to help three adults displaced by the blaze.
