Dead Husband, Wife In Lawrenceville Identified: PD

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — The man and woman deceased in the investigation have been identified. The man is Kalvin Wright, 48, of Albany, Ga. The woman is Gentorica Wright, 33.

A husband and wife are dead after a suspected domestic situation at a Lawrenceville apartment Saturday morning, Gwinnett County Police said.

According to police, three children, all under the age of 10, were dropped off at the Sugar Mill Apartment complex's leasing office where they told staff that their father had shot their mother. Police say a male suspect had taken the children to the leasing office before returning to the apartment.

The Gwinnett County SWAT team was activated and they entered the apartment because of the unknown condition of the female victim, police said. The husband and wife were found dead inside the apartment, police said.

The children were inside the apartment when the female victim was shot.

The incident is under investigation and is believed to be domestic in nature, police said. There was no recent history involving police at the apartment, according to police.

The children are being cared for by family members.
