Double Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured (Updated)

A man is dead and his wife hospitalized in what Gwinnett Police are calling a domestic dispute Sunday night in the Lawrenceville area.

Police said Richard Drummond, 66, was found dead inside a residence at 1458 Legrand Circle. His wife, Janie Drummond, 61, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center and was being treated for at least one gun shot wound.
Police responded to the home around 10:30 p.m. Sunday on a report that two people were shot.

“Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that the incident was the result of a domestic dispute between
the husband and wife,” Gwinnett Police said in a news release. “The Gwinnett County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death for Richard Drummond.”

One person was killed and another one wounded in a double shooting Sunday night in the Lawrenceville area.
Gwinnett Police said in a news release that officers were called to a residence on LeGrand Circle where they found a man in his 60s dead from a gunshot wound. A woman in her 50s was seriously wounded and taken to Gwinnett Medical Center.
The identities of the victims were not released Sunday, and police also have not released details of what might have led up to the shootings.
