Eight Who've Improved The Lives of Atlanta Seniors Are Honored

Griswold Home Care of Atlanta Metro and Friends of Gwinnett Seniors Gave Out "Delivered with Heart Awards" Nov. 2

On Nov. 2, Friends of Gwinnett Seniors teamed with Griswold Home Care of Atlanta Metro to hand out the first Delivered with Heart Awards recognizing caregivers and others who’ve had a positive impact on the Atlanta area senior population. During the event, held at 550 Trackside in Lawrenceville and emceed by WSB Radio host Scott Slade, the following people received the special blown-glass award:

  • Advocacy Award - Chief Stephen Hrustich, Gwinnett Fire and Rescue
  • Care Management Award - MaryEllen Smith, Senior Provisions, Atlanta
  • Caregiving Award - Dr. Melissa Wikoff, Peachtree Hearing, Marietta
  • Community Award - Jennifer Thilo, Delmar Gardens, Lawrenceville
  • Volunteerism Award - Fay Josephs, Mending the Gap, Lawrenceville
  • End of Life Care Award - Hugh Henderson, Capstone Hospice, Norcross
  • Hospice Skilled Care Award - LaShonda Jones, Budd Terrace, Atlanta
  • Financial/Legal Security Award - Victoria Collier, The Elder & Disability Law Firm of Victoria L. Collier
