The Dickels joined our Primrose family in 2016. David and June are the proud parents of Alex in our Private Pre-K 2 classroom and Jason who graduated from Primrose School of Five Forks and is six years old. The Dickels round out their family with two dogs, Mocha and Mylo. Mocha is a white toy poodle with a little brown streak on her back, hence her name, and she loves “people food” and sitting like a person! Mylo is a black toy poodle who loves to play fetch!

The Dickel family loves new experiences. They traveled to Japan in the summer of 2019. They were able to see Grandma, fly on an airplane, see Japanese castles, and ride on Bullet Trains. In February of 2020, they went to Florida to play at the beach and in the winter of 2020, they saw their first snow in Georgia! They’ve also traveled to Minnesota for their uncle’s wedding at Lake Minnetonka, which is the place famous for Tonka toys.

Jason says he loves space rovers and “Ready, Jet, Go!” on PBS Kids. He signs a lot of songs that he learned at Primrose and enjoys playing at the park. He really likes going camping in the backyard where he and his brother can sleep overnight in a tent. He also enjoys some gaming time on his iPad playing PBS Kids Games and playing Animal Crossing on the Nintendo. He really loves sweets like chocolate, but dad says, “too much sugar!”

The Dickel family shares their Primrose experience:

“It is hard to express adequately how Primrose School of Five Forks, its dedicated management and staff have transformed our kids into curious, alert and interactive young ambassadors to the world. We have observed the teachers and staff put in great amounts of commitment and dedication on a daily basis to make the school rise above even the high standards Primrose sets – positive and engaged teachers, well formulated learning stages and activities and excellent management. We are incredibly grateful the school is run by Gil who is a wonderful person and exhibits great leadership. We feel his high standards are embraced by everyone at the school.”
