Families at the Heart of Our Program

It's a joy to honor the Zambino family…the March Family of the Month

The Zambinos have been a part of our Primrose family since the 2015 school year. Michael and Shaleah are the proud parents of Lorenzo in the Private Pre-K 1 classroom. Lorenzo has two older siblings, a dog, JR., an iguana, Turk, and a few unnamed fish.

The Zambinos love traveling to experience other places, cultures, and languages. This is a family who like to have fun together, any way that they can. Playing cards, especially Go Fish or Memory, playing hide and seek in the house, watching movies, or playing at the park are some of their favorite family activities. Their favorite hobbies include traveling, coloring, drawing, and attending sporting events.

Lorenzo was just recently featured in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, in the February10-16 edition, at the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta Facebook page. He was selected by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta to help them break the news of their new multi-billion dollar project. The family had the opportunity to tour the ground breaking and construction site of the new hospital. Lorenzo enjoyed being the honorary Project Manager for the day!

The Zambino family shares their Primrose experience:
“When it came time for us to find the right school for Lorenzo about one year post his kidney transplant, Primrose School of Five Forks was hands down the best choice we knew we could make. It was pretty hard for me to let him go after being home with me for a year, but Primrose felt right!!! From Mr. Gil, owner, to the administrators, to the staff and students, Primrose felt like home. It felt like family. We could write an essay on how Mrs. Surma and Mrs. Dunn along with Ms. Plaisted and Mrs. Cooper have gone above and beyond to be the very best teachers to Lorenzo, not only caring about how he thrives academically, but making sure all of his health and total well-being needs are met daily. As loving parents to our little Lorenzo, we know we have found the VERY best Gwinnett has to offer in Primrose. Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for all of the teachers and staff who play a significant role in Lorenzo’s life. This school has given him the foundation he needs to be successful. But most importantly, they have shown him the love and care that all parents want for their children. We are proud to be a part of the Primrose Family!”

Congratulations to the Zambino Family!
