A Family Involved in Building a Love of Learning
It's a joy to honor the Elkins…the Family of the Month

The Elkins have been a part of our Primrose family since the August of 2016.Beau and Melissa are the proud parents of Asher and Camille.Camille is a student in our Infant classroom and her big brother, Asher, holds court in the Toddler classroom. They round out their family with their Blue Pit, Sophie.
Melissa is originally from Alexandria, Louisiana and moved to the Atlanta area in 2006 to study graphic design at Savannah College of Art and Design.Beau is from Thomasville, Georgia. The two met when they both worked at Six Feet Under, a restaurant in Midtown Atlanta.Melissa was a hostess and Beau was her manager. They didn’t go on their first date until January 2009 and, as they say, the rest is history.Melissa recently went back to school to get her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently a 1st grade teacher at Lilburn Elementary. After 10 years in the restaurant industry, Beau changed careers and is now selling insurance for Country Financial.
The Elkins really enjoy sports, especially football! With Melissa being an LSU fan and Beau rooting for Florida State, their kids live in a constant state of confusion as to who to cheer for. They also enjoy spending time with family, like an unhealthy amount of time...Traveling is also at the top of their list of favorite things to do. It’s harder now with two kids, but they try to fit in a trip when they can.Asher is obsessed with his little sister, Camille. When she cries, he rushes over to shove a pacifier in her mouth. He’s also a fan of tell her “shhhhhh!!!” when she cries. But as much as Asher loves his little sister, his favorite person in the world is his cousin, Emilie! He pretty much worships the ground she walks on. And who wouldn’t… she’s pretty amazing.

The Elkins family shares their Primrose experience:
“We absolutely love Primrose! Beau and I heard about the school from my sister. I knew if she loved it, we would love it too. I could never have prepared myself with just how much Beau and I would fall in love. Not only did we fall in love with Primrose and what they stand for, we fell in love with the staff who became more like family. They have always gone above and beyond for us. I can’t tell you the countless times Mr. Gil has rushed outside to help with the kids. And don’t try to tell him that you’ve got it (even though you clearly don’t) because he doesn’t take no for an answer! :)

I am so excited to see what the future holds for our kids at Primrose. I watched my niece, Emilie, graduate from Primrose last year; she is doing amazing things in Kindergarten this year. I know that is in large part due to Primrose. They instill such a strong educational foundation for our children and as a teacher and parent that’s very important. We are forever grateful to be a part of the Primrose family!”
Congratulations to the Elkins Family!
