Come out Weds, Feb 3 to network with job seekers and ministry volunteers, and hear from Eric Handler about a Profession vs a Vocation

Come out Wednesday, Feb 3 for an opportunity to network with other job seekers and ministry volunteers. Work on your elevator pitch and present it to the group in a non-threatening, supportive environment. It is suggested the job seekers plan to arrive early, bring a good supply of their business cards and dress appropriately (business casual at the minimum). Lawrenceville First United Methodist, 395 West Crogan Street, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, Room 121/123 (Grace Arbor), 7-9 pm

Topic Details: Job seekers often face a dilemma: needing a job simply as a means to the end (a paycheck) vs. a job consistent with one’s vocation or calling (work you do for its own sake; you almost feel like you’d do it even though you didn’t get paid). Eric’s presentation will help you deal with this dilemma.

Bio: Eric is one of the most connected retained executive search consultants in Atlanta. Outside of his role at Handler & Associates, Eric applies his search expertise to help unemployed job seekers find their next positions. For over 7 years he has volunteered his time to Atlanta Jobseekers, a faith based organization dedicated to helping people through the challenges of career transition. Insights gained from these efforts have lead Eric to develop “Career Handler,” a comprehensive step-by-step job search training program.
