Funeral For Teen Shot At Bus Stop In Gwinnett County Subdivision

A funeral was held over the weekend for the Central Gwinnett High School​ sophomore who was shot at a bus stop.

GWINNETT COUNTY, GA — Funeral services were held over the weekend for the teen who was shot at a bus stop in Lawrenceville Nov. 2, reported WXIA-TV.

Services for 16-year-old Timothy Barnes Jr., a Central Gwinnett High School sophomore, were held at Norcross First United Methodist Church Saturday.

The sophomore student was waiting at a Lawrenceville subdivision bus stop off Spring Lake and Peppermill Road in the morning Nov. 2 when a classmate shot him in the head.

A 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody the day of the shooting, reported WXIA. He is now being charged with malice murder.
