Georgia Gwinnett College Closing For Hurricane Irma
The college announced the closure on Friday afternoon.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Georgia Gwinnett College has announced it will be closing as severe weather associated with Hurricane Irma barrels into Georgia.
The Lawrenceville campus will close at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, due to the bad weather that is anticipated. It is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
If there are any changes to a normal scheduled on Tuesday — and that's possible as Irma's impact on the metro area is hard to predict — they will be announced by 5 a.m. on Tuesday, the school said in a news release.
