Georgia Gwinnett To Host Third Homecoming on Saturday

The celebration will be built around a soccer double-header.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Georgia Gwinnett College is still young. But it's old enough to host a homecoming.

For the third time, GGC will celebrate homecoming on Saturday during a soccer double-header.

Festivities are planned for the Grizzly Athletics Complex beginning at 4 p.m., when the women's soccer team will take on Toccoa Falls College.

After that game, GGC will celebrate homecoming with the presentation of its royal court and crowning of the college's first homecoming king and queen.

That will be followed by a battle of the bands and, at 7 p.m., the men's soccer team will face off against University of the Cumberlands.

The event is free and open to the public.

Georgia Gwinnett College hosted its first class of students in 2006.
