Georgia Gwinnett Students Pack Shoe Boxes for 'Operation Christmas Child' (ICYMI)
The program provides gifts and basic supplies to children in humanitarian crises, including refugee camps.

Lawrenceville, GA -- Students at Georgia Gwinnett College have stuffed shoeboxes full of Christmas cheer for children in some of the toughest situations in the world.
For the second year, the Golden Key International honor society chapter at GGC led the campus in Operation Christmas Child.
The international relief project gives shoe boxes filled with toys, school supplies and basic hygiene items to children in poverty-stricken regions, disaster areas and refugee camps -- both in the United States and other countries.

The effort at Georgia Gwinnett College saw more than 100 boxes filled by individuals, campus organizations and classes.
Golden Key officers packed additional boxes with other items that were donated, as well as passing along financial contributions to Operation Christmas Child.
