Gwinnett District Attorney Accepts 'Running Man' Challenge
The nearly 5-minute video follows a ridiculous crime attempt through to a dance-heavy day in court.
LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- It's not the kind of case Gwinnett County District Attorney Danny Porter's office is accustomed to handling, what with all the spontaneous dancing breaking out throughout the legal process.
But as the office's response to the viral Running Man Challenge, the five-minute video works just fine.
Porter's office is the latest to join in the viral craze, releasing its own Running Man Challenge video on Thursday.

The video goes, "Law and Order"-style, from the scene of a crime, to the police station and, finally, the courthouse.
Except, in this video, every time "My Boo," by Ghost Town DJ's kicks in, everyone from the watergun-toting culprit to Porter himself, playing a judge, has a hard time not breaking out in often silly-looking dance.

Similar to past viral Web dance trends, like the Harlem Shake, the Running Man Challenge started simply and has hit crazy heights of popularity online.
Started by high-school students, it was popularized when a pair of basketball players from University of Maryland made their own video.
Since then, professional athletes, law-enforcement agencies and just about everyone else online have been challenging each other to step in front of the camera and strut their stuff.
On the DA's office video, it says that all of Atlanta's law-enforcement community was challenged by the Monroe Police Department, which recorded its own, Batman-inspired Running Man video.
"The Gwinnett County District Attorneyβs Office thanks the City of Monroe Police Department for their efforts at uniting the public safety community and has gladly accepted the challenge ...," the post reads. "We hope that the community enjoys our response as much as the staff enjoyed the making of the video."
