Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center Locked Down (Updated)

There were security concerns involving a woman and her estranged husband.

The Gwinnett County Justice and Administration Center in Lawrenceville was reportedly locked down for a couple of hours Monday afternoon, according to media reports.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported no one was allowed in or out of the main entrance to the parking lot, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office also confirmed.

The area was re-opened around 3 p.m., the Gwinnett Daily Post reported.

The security concerns centered around a woman’s estranged husband, who was seen at her car with the hood up, the newspaper reported. The man had apparently been sentenced in the courthouse in a case involving the wife, but he was gone when authorities were alerted.

No explosives were found and it was unknown if the man had done something else to the vehicle, the sheriff’s office told the Post.
