Gwinnett Man Arrested For 'Exotic' Animals

Authorities say Jesus M. Cruz-Concepcion had two cobras and an alligator, among other animals in his Gwinnett County home.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA -- A Gwinnett County man was arrested Sunday for possession of exotic animals, including cobras and an alligator.

Jesus M. Cruz-Concepcion was charged with possession of a wild animal without a permit and possession of a game animal without a permit, as well as possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Gwinnett County Police executed the arrest based on warrants from the DNR.

Animals in Cruz-Concepcion's possession included two monocled cobras and an alligator, DNR spokesman Mark McKinnon said Tuesday.

Cruz-Concepcion made his first appearance in Gwinnett County court on Monday.
