Gwinnett Mass Transit Discussion Set For Tuesday Night
Transit supporters will discuss current transit options and what may be coming next.

LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Supporters of mass transportation in Gwinnett County are holding a discussion forum Tuesday evening in Lawrenceville.
The forum, sponsored by the Georgia Sierra Club, is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Old City Hall, at 18 S. Clayton St. in Lawrenceville.
The event is billed as an interactive look at transit in Gwinnett, addressing issues like what current service looks like, what the county is doing to expand transit options and what citizens can do to advance the conversation.

Panelists include Ben Limmer, assistant general manager at MARTA, state Rep. Pedro "Pete" Marin, Lee Biola, president of Citizens for Progressive Transit, Tom Weyandt, former director of comprehensive planning at the Atlanta Regional Commission and Art Sheldon, former Gwinnett County Transit Board member and chairman.
In addition to the Sierra Club, the forum is sponsored in partnership with the Amalgamated Transit Union, Citizens for Progressive Transit and the Gwinnett County Young Democrats.
